How Asian handicap and Malay odds work

An Asian handicap gives one selection a notional advantage or disadvantage before settlement. Whole, half and quarter lines can settle differently, so the exact line and market rules matter.

Malay odds use values between negative one and positive one. Positive and negative values use different return conventions, while switching the display format does not change the underlying event.
